Grass Mt. 48.48 MHz IX Report: Pat Buller reported that while the IX has been identified, the IX would not be cured by the proposed corrections of Motorola R-56 standard and an electrician that doesn’t understand RF noise.  Lots of discussion on solutions to move this problem along.  Stay tuned.  Pat also introduced two new folks from Tacoma Power to WWCIC.  (OPEN)

New Business

Spencer reported that on the Industry Canada web site there is some information on how Canada is restructuring their VHF band plan to allow repeater operations with predefined ranges of inputs and outputs.  This would help “harmonizing” US operations and planning.

Harlan reported that an exercise event will take place in the first week of Oct. on the west coast.  An event review will take place afterward.   He also mentioned several items he found on the web for the good of the order.

Jay offered the WSP conference room for all of 2005.  We all agreed that would work for us.

Items of Information

Miscellaneous: Lots of general-purpose discussion throughout the meeting; much of which is similar in years past.  Just the names, dates, times and frequencies are different.  Pat’s jokes are getting better each month.

Moved and seconded to adjourn at 11:02 AM.

Respectfully submitted,

Your Secretary/Treasurer,

Chuck “z” Zappala chuck.zappala@boeing.com
