Old Business

800 MHz IX     Steve Leonard talked about some Nextel news.  There are plans to move some of their 800 analog systems to 900 MHz.  There are a number of sites in WA, OR, & ID to deploy.  George requested a frequency list, if possible.  Steve is waiting for the databases.  (OPEN)

700 MHz Planning Meetings   Not discussed.  (OPEN)

WWCIC web site   No new issues.  Paid reimbursement for Alan Robinson of $54, for the web hosting 10/1-12/31/2002.  It appears the fee will be about $220/yr.  (ALWAYS OPEN)

Technical Seminars at meetings   Not discussed.   (OPEN)

XM Radio    Not discussed.  (OPEN)

Planning for WWCIC/WCTC Joint meeting 2003     (Info from the 11/12/02 meeting)  George contacted Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine, about space, costs and food.  Discussion included info that George had gotten from them about various menus and room configurations.  If we opt for a number of 65, for example, it would represent a package deal for specific prices, but if less than the target number attended, we would still be charged for a set package.  Several suggestions were considered, and will be discussed further at up-coming meetings.  Kris McGowan and Jayson Clairmont will help w/ arrangements.  We should also begin to develop our ideas for discussion content.  Forward questions or concerns to the Officers, or bring them to the meetings.  The 2nd week of June 2003 is Monday 6/9-Friday 6/13.  Check your calendars for any potential conflicts, and perhaps we can set the date in the next couple months.  (OPEN)

APCO report or news  Nothing new.  Contact Pat for more APCO-related details.  APCO has a lot if information on their web site, at www.apcointl.org/.

Miscellaneous

Perry Wheeler talked about letters from Industry Canada about IX, that claim FCC had requested info.  Discussion centered on letters from Industry Canada requesting statements of no interference on 12.KHz channels.  Want to discuss further next year.  This might be a positive step in opening better or more detailed communication between the agencies.  For continued discussion next month.  <Move to Old Business?>
